ABOUT

The South African Investor

Is an investor self-help site.

We wish to equip investors with the techniques and correct mental attitude to have when investing.

These tools do not require complicated and boring mathematics...

THESAI is not registered with the JSE or any other organisation to provide any investment advise.

I was taught (still am) on how to pick undervalued stocks with good potential for the future.

I am overly Optimistic about South Africa's future (despite current low sentiments) and that the J203 will continue to more or less mirror the DJIA going into the future.

Why I do this

This is my hobby! Reading annual reports, year to year,  value vs price...

Staying up at night, finding out what drives the company's costs,

Where and how revenue is generated.

That is doing the things You like, that is "The life".

I also want young South Africans to have the knowledge, not be intimidated and be in a position to take the opportunities afforded by the JSE.

I bought my 1st share (Intu) when I was 24 and bored during December varsity break,

upon which I wanted to know more and what makes successful investors.

What I can do for you

We will not tell You what stock to buy or sell.

This blog is to share investment theory and my thinkings on what is going on in the South African and global markets.

I am open to any questions
